40% of the batch has been placed
the first month of the placement window as captured by the Interim Placement
Record.
Gurugram, October 6, 2026: HiveSchool's
Cohort 2 Interim Placement Report records an average CTC of ₹17.59 LPA, with
the highest CTC reaching ₹31.5 LPA and the median CTC standing at ₹16.15 LPA.
The average package has risen from ₹16.4 LPA in Cohort 1 to
₹17.59 LPA in Cohort 2, showing an increase in average placement outcomes
across the two cohorts.
With 40% of the batch receiving placement offers within the
first month of the placement window, Cohort 2 has already recorded strong early
placement activity. The placement process is currently underway, and the report
will be updated as further outcomes are recorded.
A cohort does not place on one day. It places in waves.
HiveSchool runs its placement window in four: Day Zero, where the first offers
come from the room at Salespreneur,
the institute's flagship placement event; a second wave that closes at the end
of month six; and two further waves as students in final rounds accept offers.
The interim report is published while the window is still open, so the numbers
can be read as they form. A final report, with every offer letter on file,
follows at the end of month nine.
What the numbers say
The interim figures cover the 40% of the cohort that has
accepted an offer. Average CTC stands at ₹17.59 LPA, the median at ₹16.15 LPA,
the highest at ₹31.5 LPA and the lowest at
₹12 LPA. The top quartile of placed students averages ₹25.25
LPA and the top half ₹21.71 LPA. 71% of placed students are at ₹15 LPA or
above.
The distribution is not skewed by a few outliers. Half of
the placed students sit in the ₹15 to 20 LPA band, 29% in ₹12 to 15 LPA, 14% in
₹20 to 25 LPA and 7% above ₹25 LPA. Two offers above ₹30 LPA lift the top; the
₹1.44 LPA gap between the median and the average comes mostly from those two.
No placed student is below ₹12 LPA.
Cohort on cohort
The interim figures sit above both previous final reports on
every statistic. Against Cohort 1's final report, the highest CTC has moved
from ₹27.8 LPA to ₹31.5 LPA (up 13.3%), the top-quartile average from ₹21.93
LPA to ₹25.25 LPA (up 15.1%), the top-half average from
₹18.63 LPA to ₹21.71 LPA (up 16.6%), the average from ₹16.47
LPA to ₹17.59 LPA (up 6.8%) and the median from ₹15 LPA to ₹16.15 LPA (up
7.7%). In the institute's first year (2024-25), the average was ₹14.76 LPA and
the median ₹14 LPA (Annual
Placement Report 2025-26).
Day Zero, held on September 5 at Salespreneur, moved the
same way. 28 recruiters raised 62 interview requests in a single afternoon, and
Day Zero offers ranged from ₹16 LPA to
₹31.5 LPA, against ₹12 LPA to ₹25 LPA the previous season.
Where the final number will land
Students placed first tend to place higher. As students in
final rounds accept offers, the institute expects the average to settle at
₹15.8 to 16.8 LPA and the median at ₹15 to 16 LPA in the final report, with
more than 60% of the cohort placed above ₹15 LPA. The forecast assumes that
students in final rounds place in the ₹12 to 17 LPA band, where the lower half
of the previous cohort landed. The report calls the forecast conservative by
design: last cohort's final average came in above the view the institute held
at the same point in the window.
Where the cohort is placing
Offers so far fall into three clusters. In Tech & AI,
SaaS, developer-tool and AI-native companies have opened roles including
Founding BDR, Account Manager, Enterprise Partnerships, Founder's Office (GTM)
and GTM Enablement for AI. In D2C, consumer brands selling direct and through
quick commerce have opened roles including Associate Brand Manager, Channel
Marketing Manager, E-commerce and Quick Commerce Manager, Growth Marketing
Associate, Founder's Office and Chief of Staff; brands the institute has worked
with in the category include PeeSafe, Fix My Curls, Big Boy Toyz, Protein
Pantry, Nutrabay, 1970's and Zoomies. In Consumer Tech & Services,
platforms and service businesses including UpGrad and CX10X have opened Program
Manager, Founder's Office, Entrepreneur in Residence, Key Accounts Manager and
AI Program Manager roles. Across cohorts, the institute's recruiter pool is
roughly 55% consumer and 45% SaaS and technology. Company-wise roles for the
cohort will be published with the final report.
Report card, not brochure
Every figure in the report is built from offer letters and
nothing else. Offer letters are collected from each placed student on
acceptance and verified by the placement office before a number is reported.
CTC is the overall compensation as written in the accepted offer letter,
including ESOPs where they form part of the package. Students who receive
multiple offers are tracked, but only the accepted offer counts towards the
placement outcome. Average, median and band figures use placed students as the base;
cohort shares use the full cohort. The report states that its figures are
interim and will be restated at the close of the window.
That follows the standard the institute set in August, when
it published a placement report and video naming every placed student along
with their story, opened direct, unmediated access for prospective students to
speak with any of them, and committed its founder to personally answering every
placement-related query, and the Day Zero report published in September.
HiveSchool was also named Emerging B-School of the Year by ET for building a
programme where revenue roles are taught by operators and students place into
them before graduating.
"Most placement reports are published once, at the end,
when every number has been polished. We publish while the window is open. Forty
percent of the batch has accepted offers, forty percent is in final rounds, and
because the students who place first usually place higher, we have written into
the same report that the average will likely settle lower
by the time the window closes. Last year our final number
came in above our own forecast. We would rather the final report beats this
page than falls short of it," said Nikhil Gaur, Founder and CEO,
HiveSchool.
Recruiters who have hired from the institute and returned to
hire again pointed to how quickly the hires became productive. "The
candidate we hired was ready for the floor on day one. That is rare from a
first-year programme, and it is why we keep engaging," said Ashish Cherian,
Senior Director, Adobe. "We hired multiple students into US-facing roles.
They ramped on outbound faster than comparable first-year hires we see
elsewhere," said Sapna, Head of GTM. "Our hire stepped into a
founder's office role and was contributing to growth work within weeks, not
months," said Arushi, Co-Founder.
After the offer
An accepted offer is the midpoint of the placement office's
work. Four calls follow every offer: an offer read-through, where fixed pay,
variable at target, clawbacks and notice period are walked through line by
line; a negotiation call, where there is room, prepared with the student or
handled by the placement office directly; a 30-60-90 plan written before
joining with a mentor from the same function; and check-ins at day 30 and day
90 with the student and the hiring manager, so that issues surface early.
The 9-month Postgraduate Program in Revenue, AI and
Entrepreneurship is built backwards from the roles it places into. Delivered
fully offline in Gurugram, it runs two foundation months on ideal-customer
research, market sizing, outbound cadence and go-to-market basics against live
accounts, a specialisation from month three in revenue, brand and growth, or
founder's office, and a placement window from month five that runs four routes
in parallel: Day Zero, hiring challenges set by operating companies, on-demand
hiring cohorts built around a single recruiter's role brief, and off-campus
pipelines run with the placement office alongside. Challenges this term were
set by companies including Gartner, BrowserStack, BirdEye, Big Boy Toyz,
PeeSafe and Culture Circle, and several placements started in those rooms.
With admissions
open for its next cohort, Hive School of Business is staying with the model
it believes previews where Indian education is headed: tightly targeted
outcomes, built input by input, as a credible, high-return alternative to the
traditional MBA for freshers and early-career professionals. The final PGP C2
placement report will be published at the close of the window. Recruiters who
want to hire from the cohort can reach the placement office at placements @hiveschool.co
or register through hiveschool.co.
