Bengal Business
Council (BBC) will host its Annual Convention & Vision Conclave 4.0 on
Saturday, 22 August 2026 at Newtown Convention Centre, Newtown , bringing
together policymakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, MSMEs, startups,
professionals, investors and academicians around the theme “ A Viksit Bharat
is not possible without a Viksit West Bengal. ”
The convention will
focus on strengthening West Bengal’s economic, industrial and commercial
competitiveness, while exploring practical measures to improve the business
environment, encourage investment, support MSMEs and promote entrepreneurship.
The conclave will
feature Shri Swapan Dasgupta, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Finance; Shri
Tapas Roy, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Industry, Commerce & Enterprises;
Shri Samik Bhattacharya, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha; Dr. Ashok Lahiri,
Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog; and Shri Subrata Gupta, Chief Advisor to the Hon’ble
Chief Minister , along with senior government officials and prominent
dignitaries and policy leaders.
The discussions
will address key opportunities and challenges facing Bengal’s business
ecosystem, with emphasis on investment, industrial growth, MSMEs,
entrepreneurship and emerging industries. The objective is to identify
practical, time-bound solutions and strengthen West Bengal’s position as a
competitive and business-friendly state.

strong base of businesses, MSMEs and entrepreneurs, but we need to address the
challenges affecting their growth and competitiveness. Through this convention,
we seek to bring stakeholders together to explore practical solutions and build
a stronger business ecosystem,” said Shri Chandra Shekhar Ghosh,
President, Bengal Business Council.
Shri Avishek Auddy,
Chairman, Bengal Business Council, said, “Sustained economic growth requires
the right conditions for both existing and emerging businesses. The convention
will provide a platform to discuss MSME growth, entrepreneurship, investment
and the creation of a stronger business environment in Bengal.”
For the first time,
the convention will open its platform to the wider business community, enabling
entrepreneurs, professionals, startups and aspiring business leaders to
participate, network and build meaningful connections. It will also feature a
Business Exhibition and Innovation Showcase, highlighting businesses, ideas and
emerging innovations.
Building on
previous editions, Annual Convention & Vision Conclave 4.0 reflects BBC’s
continued commitment to creating a platform for dialogue, collaboration and
collective action between the business community, policymakers and industry
leaders.
