New Delhi, 06/05/2025 : Arhan
Bagati, a dynamic youth leader
hailing from Kashmir, is being celebrated for his wide-ranging contributions
across social impact, cultural revival, and now, the world of cinema. As the
founder of Kashmir Yumberzal Applied Research Institute (KYARI), Bagati is at
the forefront of initiatives aimed at sustainable development and community
empowerment.
Under Arhan's guidance, KYARI is
actively addressing critical regional challenges through forward-thinking
solutions. A prime example is the introduction of e-rickshaws in Srinagar. This
initiative promotes sustainable transportation and provides economic
opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged communities, demonstrating an
innovative approach to development challenges. KYARI also focuses on areas like
education, sanitation, electricity, tourism, conservation, and economic
empowerment for women. Notably, KYARI successfully organized the Lit Fest in
Kashmir after a 33-year gap, a significant cultural revival that was
inaugurated by the Lt Governor and attended by various dignitaries.
Arhan's unwavering commitment to
creating employment and raising awareness for a greener society has been
lauded. This recognition follows two years of impactful work by his initiative,
highlighted by a recent post from Payal Mehta on X (formerly Twitter), who
commended the scale and significance of his contributions:
"2 yrs to this big effort to
create employment and awareness towards a green society. @IndiaKyari
@IamArhanBagati keep up the good work."

Beyond environmental advocacy, Arhan
Bagati's work spans diverse domains. He has championed the integration of
technology and mental health, authoring influential articles on AI-driven
therapy and its potential to support marginalized populations. His vision for a
balanced approach to technology in healthcare underscores his commitment to
ethical and inclusive progress.
Arhan has also played a significant role
in the Paralympic Movement in India as the Awareness and Impact Ambassador for
the Paralympic Committee of India, developing initiatives to assist Indian
athletes. His dedication led him to serve as India's first and the world's
youngest Deputy Chef De Mission for the Indian contingent at the Tokyo 2020
Paralympic Games.
His achievements have garnered national
and international recognition, including being featured in the prestigious
Hindustan Times 30 Under 30 list for Social Impact. His perspectives on
national security, the socio-political environment of J&K, and connecting
with one's roots are frequently shared through TEDx talks and publications in
leading media outlets.
Further demonstrating his dedication to
showcasing Kashmir positively, Arhan served as a co-producer of the recently
released Bollywood film "Ground Zero." This major production, filmed
extensively in the Valley, marked a significant return for Bollywood after over
three decades, aiming to boost local tourism and the economy. The movie, which
tells a compelling true story, is expected to draw significant attention to
Kashmir's beauty and potential.
As India and the world navigate the
challenges of sustainable development, Arhan Bagati’s leadership stands out as
a source of inspiration for the next generation of changemakers. His holistic
approach—combining environmental stewardship, social innovation, technological
advancement, and cultural promotion—continues to make a measurable difference
in the lives of many.
