Delhi : In a pointed
critique of both the BJP and AAP, S. Krishna Chaitanya Reddy, Joint Coordinator
of the All India Kisan Congress, has thrown his full support behind Congress
leader Alka Lamba in her electoral challenge to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi
Marlena. In an exclusive interview, Reddy underscored the shortcomings of the
current administrations and heralded Lamba as the capable leader needed to
bring about genuine change in Delhi.
“Under the combined misgovernance of the
BJP and AAP, Delhi has seen little progress. The BJP, despite its power at the
Centre, has delivered nothing of substance for the capital, adopting an
indifferent and dismissive stance. Meanwhile, the AAP has resorted to optical
illusions and populist initiatives to deflect attention from its failures in
critical areas such as pollution, education, and healthcare,” Reddy remarked.
He emphasized, “The people of Delhi deserve a leader like Alka Lamba—one who
not only makes promises but also has a proven record of delivering results. As
the National President of the All India Mahila Congress, she has dedicated
herself to empowering women, championing education, and strengthening
grassroots governance. Her accomplishments are undeniable.”
Reddy went on to castigate the AAP
government for its centralization of power and lack of accountability.
“Marlena’s style of governance is characterized by theatrics that yield no real
solutions. In contrast, Alka Lamba embodies a transparent, people-centric
approach. Her campaign focuses on tackling pressing issues like corruption,
inflation, and deteriorating infrastructure with sustainable solutions. Delhi
stands on the brink of transformation, and Alka Lamba is the leader poised to
facilitate it,” he concluded.
